Doesn’t sound like anyone wants to tear down a neat project to me. Cool project, by the way.

It sounds more like #12 got caught in a lie by #11 and don’t want to admit it. Never did explain why the two very different stories to Carter? Didn’t answer #13 either.

I follow every Corvair thing that I can. I recently saw a post on the Virtual Corvair Club forum by you. It has a pic of your car and states “This is a 1954 Corvair that was built for the Waldorf Hotel Motorama. It is currently being restored and comes with a front engine Blue Flame six”.

This statement makes it sound like it’s the real thing.
What gives?

I was at Carlisle this year and had a quite lengthy conversation with the guy who said that he owned the car. He was quite certain that the car he had there was the only one of three built that had survived. Is this the same burgandy car?

What is the real story?
