The Jaguar X Type made its debut in 2002. It was similar to the Mondeo. Unlike the Mondeo it was all-wheel drive model. The X Type came in two versions – 2.5 liter and 3.0 Liter. Both versions derived their power from V6 engines and automatic gear systems. The small sedan had disc brakes on all four tires, airbags in the side for those seated in the front and curtain airbags in the entire car. In 2003, 17 inch tires were introduced on the 3.0 model. The models also got headlights made of xenon, a warning system if something was obstructing the path of the vehicle in the back and heated front seats. In 2004, the 3.0 sedan got headlights that came on automatically, a back seat that was split and could be folded and a leather steering wheel. In 2005, the wagon joined the X Type lineup. The entry level model was drooped and a Vanden Plas edition was added. The Vanden Plas was equipped with heated leather front seats. Click here to read more.. »
